The Arena of Sports in Madrid
Sports are very famous among the people of Madrid. Since sports are important in Madrid, there are more athletes which have been born in bringing excellence of sports to Madrid. There are three teams which have been playing in La Liga. They are Real Madrid, at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Atletico de Madrid at Vicente Calderon Stadium, and Getafe Club de Futbol at Coliseum Alfonso Perez. In the arena of basketball, Estudiantes and Real Madrid are the two big teams of Madrid. Besides, tennis is also important in Madrid, for Madrid Tennis Masters is held in October every year.

However, it is not recommended since it is hazardous.

Festivals in Madrid
The people of Madrid call village as La Villa. Since most of the cultures are influenced by traditional styles, Madrid is considered as a village by its people. There are many festivals which are celebrated in Madrid each year. Madrid’s patron is honoured during the Fiesta of San Isidro. Many musical performances and great bullfights are featured during this festival. In addition, cultural events are conducted during Veranos de la Villa. Veranos de la Villa is also known as ‘Summer in the Village’. Chotis, a type of Madrid’s popular regional dance will be performed during Verbena de la Paloma festival.
